HAPPY ANZAC DAY EVERYBODY!
hahaha. it's not really supposed to be happy. hahaha. but anws.
IT WAS FREAKING HOTTTTT.
i was like MELTING. seriously la. hahahah.
and the service was super long. hahahaha. i was like dying... xp

'sup.
okays, today was a screwed up day. hahahaa. first had HPE theory. and we got given yet ANOTHER assignment. that gives me SIX assignments to think about. which totally sucks. then rite, had ANZAC day service. and going to the anzac day parade tmr. not veri excited about it. hahahha. but i guess the people who fought in the war should be admired coz some of them just died in a totally different country and...yar. hahahaha. so anws, then we had...erm...IPT. that's right. and being the VERY VERY NICE person that i am, i helped jason with his whole thing!!! hahahhaa. but i guess it's to my benefit la. coz i need to get in the hang of doing it. coz i miss quite alot of IPT lessons coz of violin lessons. hahaha. so yar, then rite, went to violin lesson and onli had a half an hour one coz mrs roche had to go somewhere. hahaha. but next lesson's gonna eat into my lunch time. so..dunno la. hahahha. maybe i won't eat lunch that day so that i can lose weight! hahaaha. anws, got the amuseathon thingy this friday. also have the science excursion this friday as well. sigh...busy busy busy.
and ryno called me JAMES today. i was like...HAR? hahahahhaa.
and i got pissed at someone coz someone thought that they were all high and mighty and thought that she is such a good cross country runner.
then we had cross country. i came in fifth out of all year 10s. not too bad i guess. but it also means that I'M IN THE CROSS COUNTRY TEAM FOR THE SCHOOL!!! ahhhh. nightmare man. also, it's gonna be at gin gin and their track is like UUUUUPPPP AND DOOOOWWWWWN. i'm gonna die la. but also got this...erm...team cross country thing. hahahhaa. which is quite cool coz we are in a team. hahaha. i've always worked better in a team. hahahahha.
and mrs gill got pissed at us during catering today coz we made a mess. then i came home and told my mum," mummy, i don't think my report for catering is going to be a veri good one this semester." hahahaha. but my mum doesn't really care. hahahaha. she's the one who told me to take catering the first place anw. hahahaha. so i made lasagne for dinner tonight coz i forgot to bring my white sauce to school. hahahha. it looks pretty good actually. hahahha. i rather like it. hahaha. so gonna eat it for dinner soon. hahahah.

hellooooo!
GUESS WHAT? GOING BACK TO SINGAPORE ON THE 24TH OF JUNE!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! CAN'T WAIT CAN'T WAIT CAN'T WAIT! SLOW, CHERYL, BIRDIE, CHIA, MARIE! WE HAVE TO GO OUT OKAY!!! HAHAHAHA. will be staying at the RTC so i can practically walk to school la. hahaha. and so sad. 25th is the day school starts again so like...veri hard. awwww. anws, today went horse riding. it was okay i guess. i met aniline and josh. aniline goes to shalom and josh goes to norville. and got another girl who goes to st. john's but i dunno her name. hahahaha. well, i'm gonna type out somemore sose stuff. hahahaha. it's about australia and the boer war, 1899-1902:
From the time of its acquisition by Britain during the Napoleonic wars, southern Africa had been shared between British colonies and independent republics of Dutch-Afrikaner settlers, known as Boers. Throughout the nineteenth century the two powers had maintained a wary co-existence, although increasingly the question became whether Britain or the Boers should control southern Africa. The two had already fought an inconclusive war in 1880. The discovery of gold and diamonds in the Boer republics in the 1880s intensified rivalry, and British imperial ambition and Boer independence resulted in friction that in 1899 provoked the Boers to attack, in order to forestall what they saw as an impending British conquest.
As part of the British Empire, the Australian colonies offered troops for the war in South Africa. At least 12,000 Australians served in contingents rasied by the six colonies or (from 1901) by the new Australian Commonwealth (about a third of men enlisting twice) , and many more joined British or South African colonial units in South Africa. At least 600 Australians died in the war, about half from disease and half in action.
Australians served mostly in mounted units formed in each colony, often known as "mounted rifles", "bushmen" or "imperial bushmen". They fought in both the British counter-offensive of 1900 which resulted in the capture of the Boer capitals, and in the long, weary guerrilla phases of the war lasting until 1902. Colonial troops were valued for their ability to "shoot and ride", and they performed well in the open war on the veldt. Australians at home generally supported the war, but as it dragged on became disenchanted, especially as they became aware of its effects on Boer civilians, through cases such as the conviction and execution of Lieutenants Morant and Handcock in 1902.
The conflict in SA is generally divided into three phases:
1. the early phase from October to December 1899, when the British armies, mainly infantry, were defeated by highly mobile Boer mounted troops;
2. the second phase, from December 1899 until September 1900, which involved a British counter-offensive resulting in the capture of most of the major towns and cities of South Africa;
3. the third and longest phase, from September 1900 to May 1902, when the war was mainly a guerrilla conflict between British mounted troops and Boer irregulars.
The outbreak of war had long been expected in both Britain and Australia. Queensland had offered troops in July, expecting that conflict was imminent, and the same month Britain had requested participation from NSW and Victoria. Each of the colonies ultimately sent between four and six contingents.

hellos.
from today onwards, i've started horseriding lesson at the Across The Waves (ATW) club. hahaaha. it was actually my mum's idea. coz if we're gonna get a horse, she thinks we'd better have some riding experience first. hahahah. but like...i'm not THAT into it. but i aquiesced coz i thought it would be something i could do on a boring saturday morning. hahaha. other than studying. so yea. first lesson starts next saturday at 11. hahahaha. i hope i can get to learn how to jump and stuff like that. it'll be cool. hahahaha.
hmms....nothing much happenin today. just...studied. hahaha. more on genetics. then my sister came banging on my door saying that we were going to ATW to sign up. hahaha. then came back, and found out that my sisters din noe that they had to photocopy their own choice music for the eisteddford. so being the 'responsible' big sister that i am, i went and photocopied their music for them and i still haven't got the competitor numbers yet so i had to try to get in touch with mrs Franklin but she doesn't seem to be home. sighss....i called like thrice and still no answer. and i even left a message. sigh...so my mum told me to try on monday. coz she might be on holiday or something. hahaha.
hmm....i think there's a problem with my stomach coz i ate a larger breakfast than usual today and i felt like really hungry at 9.00 then i ate a bigger lunch than usual and was already super hungry by 6. hahahaha. and i'm already starting to get hungry and it's onli 8.50. sighs...my stomach is digesting food way to fast. hahahaha. but i guess once i get back to school, i'll have more to think about. hahaha. oh yea, that's a thought. maybe on monday i can go and see mr rotar and ask him about the competitor number thingy. then he can help me. hahahaha. yea. it's a good idea. hahaha.
probably gonna be up late tonight coz i had a nap in the afternoon. sighs...was just too bored. hahaha. going through work withdrawal. oh yea, did some prep for the acer scholarship exam today. the maths and science section. hahaha. it was...okay i guess. i got 24/25 but i think i could have gotten full marks if i had done it properly la. ergh. i suckk.
i watched 'jump in' on disney channel today and it's SUPER COOL CAN :D hahahaha. like jumping double dutch and doing tricks and stuff. hahaha. it's super niceee. i wanna learn man. hahahaha. and the songs are super nice. hahahha. corbin bleu and keke palma. hahahaha. all of you guys should go and watch man coz it's super cool. hahahah. i wonder if they were screening in singapore also. hmmm....

hmms....fern and her dad left on monday. hahaha. she invited me and my sisters to go and stay at her house during the Queen's birthday weekend which i thought would be pretty cool. hahaha. coz i'd get to see her very own house. but then again...spending 3 days with just my sisters isn't considered a very fantastic idea. hahahha. but i guess. it'll be fun. hahaha. we'd be able to take the train by ourselves and stuff. hahaha. but we can go SHOPPING! hahahaha. which is also pretty cool. hehehe. xD
hmm...today....studied a bit of science and read abit. also made a blackberry sponge pudding that my mom told me to for dessert and it was actually....pretty good. hahaha. but it was also abit sour i think coz of the fact that it's blackberry. hahaha. and it was an instant mix thing to those people who think that i'm becoming such a good cook. hahahahaha. yea. fat chance(:

ALOHAA!!!
hmms....woke up at 5.30 am today coz my cousin got up and she woke me up with the noise. hahaha. but anws, she went for a jog and i stayed up reading. i finished 2 books in 4 days!! hahahaha.
i din really do alot of studying today which i TOTALLY HATE MYSELF FOR. but...hopefully when my cousin goes back to brissie, i'd be able to get more studying done.
and what totally pisses me off is that just coz my cousin can stay in my room, my sister thinks that she can go into my room and strut her stuff and talk and talk for AGES.
which is the reason why i'm listening to music really loud rite now. hahaha. i might seem like a typical teenager with attitude or something but seriously, it's IRRITATING with a capital I.
anws, went to church today, HAPPY EASTER EVERBODY! hahahhaa.
my aunt gave us this like HUGE easter chocalate egg that's like hollow and covered in gold wrapping. hahaha. i wonder how long it will take for us to finish eating that. hahaha. since not all of us are HUGE chocalate fans. hahahaha.
sighs...i feel so super unfit. i went for a jog just now and i'm totally UNFIT!! hahha. i should eat less. and i definitely put on like 1.5kg during the hols. i'm totally gonna starve myself once school starts which is in...8 DAYS!!!! oh mann. hope i can survive the boredom. it's just too boring mann.

hey peeps.
so today, my cousin, fern and my uncle(her dad) came up from brissie for a visit. hahahaha.
it was cool i guess. coz in the morning we had a mad shopping experience.
first we went to big W in sugarland to get some clothes. then we went to woolworths also in sugarland to get some groceries. then we went to target to get the bball hoop. then we couldn't fit it in the car so we had to call my dad to come by with the trailer. and he took like forever to come. then he came and said that he wanted to buy some seafood from this frozen fish place so like....we had to go coz he won't have time if he came and picked up the bball hoop. so yea. so we went after he came and we got like a dozen oysters and a big snapper and my mom HAD to get into this deep and long conver with and employee there about fish and stuff so we took ages again and we finally came home and i warmed up my own lunch coz i was too hungry to wait for my mom to cook her porridge.
so yea. then rite....i found the dvd troy among our many unpacked belongings so i started watching it coz i din get to watch it all in sose class. so i settled down to watch it and fern and her dad came so i had to stop. then fern had a nap in my room and i did some studying and read a bit then we went for a walk around the property with her carrying one of our chooks that we named HONKY. hahahaha. random...
then...my dad had to go to the hospital for something then when he came back he suddenly said that we should go to the beach. so we went and just walked and talked and ran for a small period of time. hahahaha. but it was pretty fun and the beach was really pretty esp at that time of the day(about 4-5pm) so like yea...so i just came back and i'm waiting for my dad to buy back fish and chips from the fish and chips shop. hahaha.
for the most part of the day, my dad and his brother have been in a veri deep conversation and according to fern, her dad doesn't really talk alot to anybody else except my dad and another brother. hahaha. they must have been really close during their childhood. hahahaha.

already on the last episode of hana kimi and the story's coming to an end. hahaha.
wells, they faced like alot of complications along the way hahaha.
thanks to biru, i have a warning that the ending's pretty sucky. hahahaha. but nvr mind la. watch and say. hahaha.
but it was a good show and like the behind the scenes clips after each episode is really funny coz you get to see what they are really like behind the scenes and the type of people they're like. hahaha. ella's so funny. chun is like dao man. hahaha. but he can be funny sometimes. hahaha. think it's partly coz he's like one of the older people so like...dun have a good sense of humour. hahaha. unlike ella who's like so loud and open. hahahaha.
but it could be just in front of the camera. hahahaha. but who knows? hehehee.

oh yea, and special thanks to ryno coz he helped me heaps with my sose thingy. coz i kept getting confused with isandlwana and rorke's drift and stuff like that. hahaha. and since he's been there before, he should know it really well. which he does. hahahaha. and he said that the isandlwana mountain's not shaped like the sphinx in egypt which i found really wierd coz mrs van rooyen mentioned many times during class that it is....
hmmm. he should go and teach the class. hahaha. it'll be funny as. Mr Robert! hahahahaha.

heyys. hahaha.
hmms. i sprained my wrist and got a blister from playing badminton yesterday but i was such a cow and went and played again today. haha. so my wrist really hurts now and my blister has burst. hahahaha.
oh yea, i also played quite alot of piano today hahaha. coz we got it tuned today as well so like...yea. making the most of it. hehehee. but it feels good to be back on a proper piano after playing on a lousy keyboard for the past few months. hahahaha.
oh yea, jake helped me alot today on my myspace thingy. hahahha. so yea. sorta started a myspace account so yea. hahaha. it kinda gives me something new to do nowadays coz it's been so boring. hahaha.
hmmm...so yea. nothing much happened today. the piano tuner came and that was it i guess. hahaha.
oh yea, studied some science today as well. more than the other days anw. hahaha.
but...that's how bored i am. so bored that i have to study science to keep me occupied. haha. not that i hate it tho. doing bio next term so it would be pretty interesting. haha. and i'm kinda scared of mr J now coz i think i pissed him off last lesson coz i insisted that he taught me how to do that REDOX reaction thingy and we weren't doing it next term. but STILL la. i just want to know just in case for next year. jeez. hahahaha.

YO!
today was a rather sucky day.
the shed people came to finish up the shed and it's gonna be like a big badminton court for us. and i'm getting my dad to get a basketball hoop so that we can play basketball in the shed. hahaha. and it has like stadium lights and it's really cool(: hahahaha. and like...yea.
then the movealists came and it was those same 2 people that came before in january and they were as irritating as ever.
i think they were flirting with me half the time which was so super irritating. they kept picking on me. and they kept slacking and i din have the guts to tell them to start working again so like...yea. and they kept talking about horny stuff and girls. it's so....ERGH coz i'm a girl and they were just talking about how they enjoy the company of girls right in front of me la.
anws, i was glad when they'd gone. and we GOT OUR PIANO!!! hahaha. so i can seriously practice my piano from now on. the piano tuner is coming tmr at 2pm to tune the piano. hahaha. so yea. i practiced just now on it and it felt so much better than the casiotone keyboard that we have been playing on for the past 3 months. hahaha. so hopefully my practice for the eisteddford would be much better from now on. hahaha.
anws, hoping to find our metronome from the whole stack of boxes that those 2 idiots brought for us so probably gonna spend the rest of this holidays unpacking all the stuff and sorting them out. gonna put all our encyclopaedias in the shed so everytime i want to look up something i have to go out to the shed and look for it. hahaha. might as well do all my studying in the shed. hahahaha. oh wells, this is just until the extension comes up. hahaha.
oh yea, my mom said that i could go and live in the extension once it comes up so that i can have peace and quiet while like studying and stuff. hahaha. i thought it would be a pretty good idea coz my sisters are all so noisy and stuff...so yea.
gonna do some ACER scholarship studying tmr as well as reading through my science textbook coz today i din really do much studying. hahaha. i feel so bad:( hahaha
oh yea, jake told me all about the aussie states and what they are like and stuff. hahahaha. eg. people from queensland are slow, people from victoria can't drive and all this stuff. hahaha.

upper respiratory tract illness characterized by sore throat, low-grade fever, and an adherent membrane( a pseudomembrane) on the tonsil(s), pharynx, and/or nose.
Diphtheria is a highly contagious disease spread by direct physical contact or breathing the aerosolized secretions of infected individual.
HISTORY:
named in 1826 by French physician Pierre Bretonneau. The name alludes to the leather, sheath-like membrane that grows on the tonsils, throat, and in the nose.
SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS:
The respiratory form has an incubation period of 2-5 days. The onset of disease is usually gradual. symptoms include fatigue, fever, a mild sore throat and problems swallowing. Children infected have symptoms that include nausea, vomiting, chills, and a high fever, although some do not show symptoms until the infection has progressed further. In 10% of cases, patients experience neck swelling. These cases are associated with a higher risk of death.
